The fourth season of HBO Lena Dunham dramedy 'Girls' has proven very visible in recent weeks with a number of cast additions and set shots, but why wait until 2015 for our first official look at the new season? Hannah finds herself in a whole new world in the first teaser trailer for 'Girls' season 4, but the displaced Brooklynite isn't getting any better at keeping upright.

As shared by Lena Dunham herself over Instagram, our first look at 'Girls' season 4 sees Hannah riding a bike through her new Iowa writers' workshop campus, only to quickly crash and fall over. The fourth wall breaks, as production stops the shot and prepares to bring in the real Lena Dunham to replace her stunt double, but it makes for an effective teaser regardless.

Elsewhere, we know of ‘Girls’ season 4 that production will return to the 10-episode format over season 3′s elevation to 12, while series star Andrew Rannells will enter season 4 promoted to series regular, and Adam Driver will remain a regular despite his ‘Star Wars‘ casting. We’ll also see Hannah undertaking the Iowa writers’ graduate school program that became a focus of the season 3 finale, despite the fact that the actual Iowa University denied Dunham the opportunity to film there.

'Community' star Gillian Jacobs will recur in a season 4 role, joining 'American Horror Story' and 'Heroes' veteran Zachary Quinto, as well as 'Orange is the New Black's Natasha Lyonne, Maude Apatow, Spike Jonze (acting) and 'Obvious Child' star Jake Lacey.  Additionally, ‘Parenthood‘ star Jason Ritter will play a small part, while Marin Ireland of ‘Homeland,’ young filmmaker Desiree Akhavan and actor Peter Mark Kendall have been given recurring roles as fellow students in the writing program.

'Girls' season 4 will presumably premiere in January 2015, but in the meantime, check out the first teaser above, and give us your predictions in the comments!
