‘Glee’ First Look: ‘Sons of Anarchy’s’ Katey Sagal as Artie’s Mom

Tonight's all-new 'Glee' episode "Shooting Star" will likely have people talking for days, though we dare not say why, while we're also looking forward to an upcoming turn from 'Sons of Anarchy' star (and Kurt Sutter's real-life wife) Katey Sagal as Artie's oft-mentioned, never-before-seen mother! Sagal won't appear until closer toward the season's end, but we have a sneak peek of the former 'Married with Children' star's 'Glee' guest stint inside!

'Glee's' future remains somewhat in limbo, as cast and crew have yet to finalize deals for the fifth season of FOX's star-making hit. And while tonight's all-new installment will likely polarize fans and non-fans alike, an upcoming episode toward the end of the season will feature 'Sons of Anarchy' star Katey Sagal taking the role of Artie Abrams' mother!

Despite her considerable chops highlighted on 'Sons of Anarchy' now and again, Sagal won't actually sing anything over the course of the hour. Series creator Ryan Murphy tweeted out our first look at Sagal on the set, along with Artie (Kevin McHale) and Kitty (Becca Tobin) but little about the appearance can be surmised from the shot.
