It looks like 'Godzilla' is turning out to be a lot bigger than we though -- casting wise we mean. While the Gareth Edwards-helmed remake recently began production in Vancouver, one last casting addition has been made to the lead group going up against the beast.

Deadline reports that Sally Hawkins, who was recently seen in Mike Newell's adaptation of 'Great Expectations,' has been cast among the leads as one of the scientists. She joins Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Ken Watanabe.

In the style of viral marketing, Edwards released a couple video blogs a while back teasing a bit of behind-the-scenes set footage, though not much in terms of the actual cast has been revealed. Though our best look yet came in the form of a news segment run through a Canadian news station, highlighting one of the battle scenes. (Click here to watch.)

'Godzilla' is set for a May 16, 2014 release date, so stick with us for the latest updates.
