There’s now a specific genre made for movies that combine a group of beloved actors who are getting on in years, give them a plot that normally would be reserved for a team of young bucks, and turn it into a comedy. Think the RED (Retired Extremely Dangerous) series: it’s funny to see actors our grandfathers’ age in movies that would otherwise be straight up action films. That’s exactly what you get when you combine one septu- and two octogenarians Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin and make them all rob a bank.

While the old-guys-do-young-people-stuff gimmick doesn’t always work out (remember Dirty Grandpa?) the trailer for Going in Style is actually pretty hilarious. You can tell these three had a ton of fun working with each other — or at least are very good at acting like they do — and it’s kind of a treat to see our favorite award-winning actors in a buddy heist comedy together. If you need more incentive, the movie also stars Ann-Margret, Christopher Lloyd, and Peter Serafinowicz.

Here’s the synopsis:

Oscar winners Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby), Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules, Hannah and Her Sisters) and Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine) team up as lifelong buddies Willie, Joe and Al, who decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow for the first time in their lives when their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty, in director Zach Braff’s comedy Going in Style. Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three risk it all by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money.
