Now that confusion over Jamie Chung’s Gotham Season 3 role has passed beyond the Vale, we’re getting a first look at Vicki’s aunt palling around with Jim Gordon. See Ben McKenzie and the future Valerie Vale as Gotham Season 3 shoots on the streets of NYC!

ComingSoon captured the first unofficial look at Ben McKenzie’s Jim Gordon and Jamie Chung’s Valerie Vale shooting on the streets of NYC. Despite some initial confusion, the character is noted as aunt to the more recognizable comics’ Vicki Vale, herself likely closer to Bruce’s age at this point:

So reads the official character description:

Gotham Gazette’s newest hire, Valerie is a crackerjack reporter dead set on uncovering the truth behind Indian Hill. Confident and dogged, she will do anything to get the scoop, and soon sets her sights on Gordon, who she believes is the key lead in her story.

Elsewhere, Season 3 will also introduce us to Gotham’s take on Batman villain Jervis Tetch, better known as the Mad Hatter, along with the Tweedle brothers, Maggie Geha’s questionably aged-up Poison Ivy, the Court of Owls, Talon, and a more true-to-comics Solomon Grundy than Arrow offered. Lest we forget, a certain laughing madman made a distinctly audible return in the Season 2 finale, and will likely resurface as well.

We’ll learn more of Gotham Season 3 in the coming months, including at Comic-Con 2016, but what other Bat-characters might Gotham introduce in the next run?
