Gotham star David Mazouz minced few words to say “Batman is coming” in Season 4 (he’s exaggerated before), but the first Season 4 artwork definitely inches in that direction. The Knight is darkest before the Dawn, as a new Comic-Con poster reveals Season 4’s subtitle.

TVInsider revealed some collectible Comic-Con 2017 artwork for Gotham Season 4, admittedly reusing an older Gordon portrait and the Season 3 finale shot of Bruce beginning his rooftop crime-fighting. Also visible is the new Season 4 subtitle “Dawn of Night,” which – apart from the Dark Knight and presumably Dawn of Justice reference – is about as head-scratching as they come.

Elsewhere of Gotham Season 4, which more or less skated by to a fourth season renewal, we know Alexander Siddig’s Ra’s al Ghul will have a larger presence on the series going forward. We’ll also play with the reveal that “Butch Gilzean” was actually “Cyrus Gold” (aka Solomon Grundy), while Mazouz also claimed Season 4 would see Scarecrow’s return as well.

We’ll hear more from Comic-Con 2017 this week, so stay tuned.
