The first footage from Gran Turismo 6 is packed with some of the most beautiful cars, tracks, and locations we've ever seen. Just another day at the office for Polyphony Digital, and its commitment to the most realistic racing in gaming.

Even if the first look we're getting at GT6 is merely concept footage, we're amazed Polyphony is able to continue to improve upon the presentation of its long-running franchise. Gran Turismo has long been a game that's raised the bar with every entry, but seeing just how much more the developer is able to get out of the PlayStation 3, when the console is supposedly on its last legs, is astounding.

Gran Turismo 6 is supposed to release this holiday, which is a curious time for Sony to decide to release one of its flagship exclusive titles. Not only have console and software sales for this current generation been diminishing every month for the past year-and-a-half, but Sony's also reportedly dropping the PlayStation 4 on everyone this holiday. That the company still wants to show the PS3 will get supported by blockbuster titles is great, but it seems a bit counterintuitive to have a game like GT6 release around the same time as a new console it won't be playable on.

Anyway, you can check out the video below, and let us know if you're excited for Gran Turismo 6 in the comments.
