Proving that boredom is only for fools with little ambition, director/writer/producer/plate-spinner Guillermo del Toro has signed on to produce a CG animated film titled 'Day of the Dead.'

The film, from director Jorge R. Gutierrez (Nickelodeon's 'El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera') and writer Doug Langdale will come from studio Reel FX. The plot offers up  "a Romeo & Juliet-style love story set against the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead." Music is said to be integral to the film and the studio is looking for an "international who's who" to work their magic on the soundtrack.

'Day of the Dead' is currently set for a Fall 2014 release, presumably when Del Toro finds time to stop writing his to-do list.
