Gwyneth Paltrow Might Not Return for ‘Avengers 2,’ Says She’s “Too Old”

Say it's isn't so, Gwyneth! Ms. Paltrow says she might not be returning to play Pepper Potts in the sequel to 'The Avengers,' which means 'Iron Man 3' might be our last chance to embrace and appreciate the love and fantastic chemistry between Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. Bummer.

During an interview with E! Online for her upcoming sex addict comedy 'Thanks for Sharing,' Gwyneth Paltrow was asked about her role in 'Iron Man 3' and whether she'd be returning for 'The Avengers 2.' Paltrow demurred:

"I don't know. I'm getting old for this s--t, you know what I mean?"

No, Gwyneth, we don't know what you mean. You are 39 years old. That's not even old. No one is ever too old to play dress-up with 'The Avengers.' We think you should put your big girl pants on and join in on the fun because how often is someone asked to hang out with 'The Avengers' and get paid for it? And what about that GOOP diet you're always talking about? Doesn't that keep you young and limber? Frankly, we have no idea what Ms. Paltrow is on about with this nonsense -- she doesn't even have big action sequences in the movies! Clearly she's been hanging out with Loki and that magic mind-bending scepter a little too much. Paging Tony Stark -- your girl is off her rocker.
