As much as we love the current crop of TV infecting all of our Sundays, from 'Boardwalk Empire' to 'Dexter,' 'The Walking Dead' and beyond, we can't help feelikng like we're in need of a return to more down-to-Earth fare.  Did Hannah find some new way to alienate both herself and Adam?  Did Amy find another way to change her life?  We know 'Girls' and 'Enlightened' will return next year, but when will HBO give us an exact date?  Oh, right now?  Sweet!

Fret not 'Girls' fans, for the adventures of Hannah, Shoshanna, Jessa and Marnie have an official start date.  Along with the third season of HBO's 'Enlightened,' the second season of Lena Dunham's breakout comedy 'Girls' will officially premiere on Sunday, January 13.  Dunham herself was the first to reveal the news via Twitter, though HBO shortly thereafter confirmed.

Each season will consist of 10 half-hour episodes, with 'Girls' in the leading slot at 9:00 p.m. and 'Enlightened' following after at 9:30.  While 'Enlightened' has Dermot Mulroney in store for its third season, 'Girls' has a wealth of guest stars including Rita Wilson as Marnie's mother, Donald Glover as a new love interest for Hanna,  Patrick Wilson also as a dreamy doc love interest of Hannah’s, and Shiri Appleby as a new romantic foil for Adam (Adam Driver).

Check out a teaser for 'Girls' second season below, and tell us if you'll tune in for the January 13 premiere!
