In recent weeks, the first real details on 'American Horror Story' creator Ryan Murphy's buzzworthy new HBO pilot, 'Open,' emerged with the casting of 'The Hunger Games' star Wes Bentley and a few story points. Now, 'Last Resort' star Scott Speedman has also joined the cast of 'Open' in a regular role, but as whom?

According to Deadline, Speedman will come to portray Jonathan, a handsome sports marketing executive. Initially described as a “modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships” that will be written by ‘Dexter‘ co-executive producer Lauren Gussis, HBO’s ‘Open’ will also see Bentley in the role of the “handsome but arrogant” Evan Foster, a blowhard who loves espousing his own theories on human sexuality in all its forms and practice.

“Gary (Newman), Bert (Salke) and I have been looking for the right opportunity to be in business with HBO for awhile, and this show represents the exact right opportunity,” said 20th Century Fox TV Chairman Dana Walden of the pay-cable network’s pilot commitment order. “Its provocative storytelling and Ryan’s trademark production values and rich, layered characters make it a perfect fit for the HBO brand.”

It could be a while yet before we hear if HBO decides to move forward with 'Open,' but in the meantime, what say you? Are you intrigued by a new sexuality drama from 'Glee''s Ryan Murphy, now that Scott Speedman has joined the cast?
