HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’ Trailer: Mike Judge’s New Tech Comedy Wants to “Build Something”

HBO had plenty to showcase on Sunday night opposite ‘The Walking Dead”s midseason premiere, including ‘Game of Thrones Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing‘ and our first look at ‘Veep‘ season 3, but why stop there? ‘Office Space’ and ‘Beavis & Butthead’ creator Mike Judge has a new geek comedy debuting on April 6, so take a look at the first official trailer for HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley.’

Fore those unfamiliar with the new comedy, Mike Judge’s ‘Silicon Valley’ stars T.J. Miller, Thomas Middleditch, Judd Apatow vet Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Lindsey Broad, Christopher Evan Welch, Amanda Crew, Angela Trimbur, ‘The Office‘ star Zach Woods and ‘The Daily Show‘ vet Kumail Nanjiani. Premiering April 6 behind the season 3 debut of ‘Veep,’ HBO’s newest comedy follows “the high tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success.”

Judge himself directed the pilot, co-executive producing with fellow ‘King of The Hill’ EPs John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky. Also worth noting is that member Christopher Evan Welch died of lung cancer after filming on the first season, though the actor’s work will be preserved over the course of the show’s eight-episode debut.

We’re always eager to see what Mike Judge can whip up, so take a look at the first trailer for ‘Silicon Valley’ above, and tell us what you think in the comments! Are you on board for the April 6 premiere, after ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Veep’?
