Just when you thought HBO had enough to focus on between the 'True Detective' finale, our first real look at 'Veep' season 3, and yet another 'Game of Thrones' trailer, the pay-cable network hits us again. Ryan Murphy's adaptation of iconic stage play 'The Normal Heart' has its own first trailer, with everyone from Julia Roberts to 'The Avengers' star Mark Ruffalo shouting about the HIV-AIDS epidemic of the '80s.

Those familiar with the Tony-winning Larry Kramer play of the same name will find plenty to recognize from the first 45-second trailer, though more casual fans will see the likes of Ruffalo pouring his heart out as gay activist Ned Weeks, one of the first to draw attention to the rising health crisis in 1980s New York. Also present among the trailer is Julia Roberts as Polio survivor and physician Dr. Emma Brookner, a gaunt-looking Matt Bomer, 'The Big Bang Theory' star Jim Parsons reprising his role of activist Tommy Boatwright from the 2011 stage version, as well as Taylor Kitsch.

HBO's 'The Normal Heart' will debut on May 25, and if the first trailer is any indication, expect this one to pick up a great deal of buzz in the meantime, particularly come Emmy season. See for yourself above, and tell us if you think Ryan Murphy's new HBO film will prove as powerful as it looks!
