NBC's proposed 'Heroes' reboot 'Heroes Reborn' has been something of a mystery since its original 2014 Olympic announcement, thus far returning only original series star Jack Coleman to the cast. Prior series lead Milo Ventimiglia previously shot down questions of returning to the role of Peter Petrelli, and it now seems original series star Ali Larter has followed suit.

"No," Larter flatly told TVGuide when asked of the possibility of returning to NBC's once-hit superhero drama. "I'm committed to [TNT's] Legends. I'm on series, so I don't have the time to work on another project. Not that I didn't love Heroes and loved working on it, but I'm just at a different stage of my life. I'm super excited and proud to be a part of this show and working with Sean Bean and an incredible cast."

For those in need of a refresher, Larter played multiple twins of the same birth, including the superpowered (and super-crazy) Niki/Jessica/Gina Sanders and ice-manipulator Tracy Strauss. Despite Larter's thoughts on returning, the 'Legends' actress at least teased of a cameo that "It could be possible if [Legends] would let me. It's like the studio system from back in the day. They own me now, so they tell me what I can and can't do."

When last we heard, NBC slotted ‘Heroes Reborn’ for a midseason (likely 2015) premiere, though a webseries in 2014 would somewhat bridge the gap between the original incarnation and its subsequent revival. ‘Nashville‘ star and ‘Heroes’ alum Hayden Panettiere had also previously been asked about ‘Heroes Reborn,’ though at the time she’d not yet been asked to reprise her role as immortal healing cheerleader Claire Bennett.

Well, what do you think? Is the series already starting off on a low note without its original cast returning? Could we expect Zachary Quinto‘s Sylar to put in an appearance, among others? Tell us who you want to see return for ‘Heroes Reborn’ in the comments!
