Following the intense success of the 'Twilight' series, 'The Host' (another book by Stephenie Meyer) is currently being adapted for the big screen. The first teaser, which will be in theaters this week with 'The Hunger Games', was released today and it's...very much a teaser trailer.

A parasitic alien force has taken over the world, making everyone nice and honest and relatively perfect. But Melanie (Saoirse Ronan) isn't having it, and so she sets out to find other surviving humans. "The Seeker," played by Diane Kruger, tries to convert Melanie into one of the soulless so she can put an end to the revolution.

Directed by Andrew Niccol ('In Time'), 'The Host' won't hit theaters until May 2013.

And the new teaser doesn't show much of anything -- other than a bunch of people with wonky blue eyes. Maybe Hitler is the Queen Alien or something and he's finally getting that perfect world of blue-eyed sheep people he always dreamed of.  Check out the teaser trailer for 'The Host' below.
