'How I Met Your Mother' "Last Time in New York" Preview: Will Barney's Ring Bear Wreck the Day?Kevin Fitzpatrick |
Earlier this week, 'How I Met Your Mother' kicked off its ninth and final season with two-part premiere "The Locket"/"Coming Back," continuing the last days of Ted, Barney, Robin, Marshall, Lily and the mother with this Monday's "Last Time in New York." We've seen the previews take on 'The Walking Dead,' but what new troubles are revealed in the first clips and photos of "Last Time in New York"?
By the point the final season of 'How I Met Your Mother' would be remiss without an actual bear appearing at some point, given Barney's constant confusion of the term "ring bearer," as referenced by the first clip from Monday's new episode. Meanwhile, the second sneak peek plays with the timeline a bit to see Robin and Lily packing up the old apartment, once again playing with the famous swords and accidentally cutting into an expensive scotch.
From CBS’ official press description of Monday’s “Last Time in New York”:
LILY DISCOVERS A LIST TED MADE ABOUT THINGS HE WANTS TO DO BEFORE HE LEAVES NEW YORK, AND ROBIN AND BARNEY TRY TO FIND PRIVATE TIME TOGETHER BEFORE THEIR RELATIVES ARRIVE
“Last Time in New York” — When Lily discovers Ted’s list of things he wants to do in New York before he moves for Chicago, she becomes frustrated that she is the only person who knows about his plans. Meanwhile, Robin and Barney realize they have very little time together before their relatives arrive for their wedding.
Elsewhere, the final season of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has recruited such guest stars as returning ‘Karate Kid’ star William Zabka and ‘Breaking Bad”s Bryan Cranston, ‘True Blood‘ star Anna Camp (replacing ‘The Office”s Ellie Kemper), Sherri Shepherd, ‘Revenge‘ star Roger Bart, and Wayne Brady and John Lithgow reprising their roles as Barney’s half-brother James and biological father Jerry.
