Admittedly its been an eternity since 'How I Met Your Mother's Ted Mosby even started his convoluted story, let alone the wait between season 7's "The Magician's Code," but we're slowly plodding along toward the 'How I Met Your Mother' season 8 premiere, now revealed to be "Farhampton!"  But now that the first official episode description has leaked, what does the future hold for 'How I Met Your Mother?'

CBS has released the first official press release for 'How I Met Your Mother' season 8, in it detailing the September 24th premiere effort "Farhampton!"  We last left 'How I Met Your Mother' with quite a few questions, such as how Ted would justify driving off into the sunset with Victoria (Ashley Williams) on her wedding day, having been left at the altar himself, and most importantly how Robin would come to be Barney's bride in the future!

We'd already known that 'Reno 911!' actor Thomas Lennon would appear in the premiere as Klaus, the man Victoria left at the altar for Ted, but the press release details that we'll also see the return of Michael Trucco's previously unnamed character Nick as Robin's boyfriend.  A substantial amount of the episode will take place at the future wedding, as Robin finds herself with wedding-day jitters.  From the official release:

ROBIN SUFFERS FROM ANXIETY ON HER WEDDING DAY TO BARNEY AND LOOKS TO TED TO CALM HER DOWN, ON THE EIGHTH SEASON PREMIERE OF "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER," MONDAY, SEPT. 24

Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911”) Guest Stars as Klaus, Victoria’s Ex-Fiancé, and Michael Trucco (“Fairly Legal”) Guest Stars as Nick, Robin’s Boyfriend

"Farhampton" — Robin’s anxiety on her wedding day to Barney prompts Ted to recount the time he insisted on leaving Victoria’s jilted fiancé a note before they drove off into the sunset together, on the eighth season premiere of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Sept. 24 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Including Ashley Williams' Victoria, Trucco and Lennon, 'How I Met Your Mother' season 8 will also see the likes of returning guest stars True Blood‘s Joe Manganiello as Marshall’s law-school friend Brad, and 'Breaking Bad's Bob Odenkirk as Barney’s GNB boss Arthur Hobbs.

What say you?  Are you still looking forward to the September 24 premiere of 'How I Met Your Mother' season 8?  Will this be the final year for the gang, and will the ultimate end be satisfying anyway?  Tell us what you think in the comments!
