‘How I Met Your Mother’ “The Bro-Mitzvah” Sneak Peek: Barney’s Bachelor Party!

CBS' 'How I Met Your Mother' will return from its brief hiatus with tonight's all-new episode "The Fortress," but the real future everyone looks forward to is that of the season 8 finale episodes, supposedly taking us through Barney and Robin's wedding and meeting the mother. But as any good bro would ask of you, what comes before a wedding? The bachelor party! Get a sneak peek of Barney Stinson's "Bro-Mitzvah" later this season inside!

Tonight's all-new 'How I Met Your Mother' installment "The Fortress" will see Barney and Robin moving closer toward their wedding, but Barney has at least one major milestone to undergo before the big day: the bachelor party! TVGuide obtained a first look at April 29 episode "The Bro-Mitzvah, in which the Barnacle goes all out to celebrate his final days of bachelor bliss.

Of course, the wedding itself might take a bit more time than we think, given we last saw both Barney and Robin having second thoughts when the day arrives. Even then, series co-creator and show-runner Carter Bays teased that the two-part finale "Something Old" and "Something New" will focus more on the week leading up to the wedding, in which Barney and Robin "connect in a sweet way," Marshall takes his first trip with baby Marvin to see his grandmother in Minnesota, Lily gets offered a new job and Ted makes a big decision that "will end the series as we know it," says Bays.

"We're going to be taking some surprising risks with time," the creator added. "The finale is almost like a pilot for the new series that the ninth [and final] season becomes."
