Holy Snikt! Bryan Singer's 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is not only offering the new Magneto Michael Fassbender and Professor X James McAvoy along with the original versions played by Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, it looks like Hugh Jackman may be joining the cast for his seventh go-around as Wolverine.

This comes from The Hollywood Reporter, and is kind of crazy. If Singer felt dissed by not finishing his original trilogy ('X-Men: The Last Stand' was helmed by Brett Ratner when Singer took off to make 'Superman Returns), it looks like he's going to have something of a chance now. Obviously, this looks to meld the newer version of these characters with Singer's original conception, though it's unknown how large any of the old cast members parts will be. And as the film already has Fassbender, McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicolas Hoult returning, things are starting to look stuffed.

We're also curious if this means we'll see performers like Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn or Halle Berry return as Jean Grey, Cyclops, Mystique and Storm, respectively. That door is definitely open. But as the narrative of the comic book that this appears to be drawn from suggests, it's likely that Stewart, McKellan and Jackman will all be used in some sort of framing device. 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is scheduled to hit theaters July 18, 2014
