When it comes to Marvel Studios news, a lot of people don't know what they're talking about. Sure, the internet gets excited whenever Stan Lee teases a 'Black Panther' movie, but the truth is that Stan Lee has about as much say as to what goes on at Marvel Studios as we do. He may hear things, but he's not actually making any decisions. The same applies to Lou Ferrigno, so take his claim that a new solo Hulk movie is in the works with a grain of salt.

As you probably know, Ferrigno famously played the irradiated green monster in the '70s TV series 'The Incredible Hulk' and provided the voice of the transformed Bruce Banner/Mark Ruffalo in 'The Avengers' (and will do so again in 'The Avengers 2'). So while we can't take everything he says as a fact, he has just enough of a connection to these films for us to at least stop and listen. Speaking with a Minnesota radio station (via Latino Review), Ferrigno said:

Now because he saved the day they're making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out.

That's a super weird thing to say because it implies that the Hulk and the Hulk alone was responsible for the success of 'The Avengers' at the box office and the Avengers in the Battle of New York. Then again, we'd expect the guy who charges ludicrous sums for his autograph at comic conventions to be protective of the one character who continues to keep him relevant.

We've heard rumors of a new Hulk movie for awhile now, but nothing has ever been announced. The big rumor hanging over the internet is that Marvel is toying with the idea of adapting the famous 'Planet Hulk' series, which saw the big guy exiled to an alien planet and forced to become a gladiator. If Ferrigno isn't just talking out of his butt and Marvel is prepping another Hulk film, it's possible that is what he's referring to.

In the meantime, 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' is still filming to meet its May 1, 2015 release date.
