It’s been some time since we last checked in on Hulu’s James Franco-starring adaptation of Stephen King time-travel drama 11.22.63, but time is of the essence in its official premiere. The J.J. Abrams-produced series has a Presidents Day 2016 appointment to stop the assassination of JFK, and we have the first photos.

For those unaware, Hulu’s 11.22.63 follows high school English teacher Jake Epping (Franco) as he travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, only to find his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love, and a past that doesn’t want to be changed. The series also stars Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay and Daniel Webber.

Based upon the New York Times best-selling 2011 novel by Stephen King, the nine-hour event series will officially premiere on Hulu this coming Presidents Day, February 15, 2016. J.J. Abrams, Stephen King, and more executive produce, with Kevin Macdonald directing and producing the first two hours.

You can check out the first photos above, while we wait for an official trailer, but does 11.22.63 seem like an exciting venture for all involved, or another Hulu series to crowd Peak TV?
