Hulu’s original programming pedigree is certainly growing, and Jason Katims’ 2016 religious drama The Path may be its biggest breakthrough yet. Our first photos of Hannibal alum Hugh Dancy, Breaking Bad breakout Aaron Paul and True Detective player Michelle Monaghan has arrived, along with new intel to put us along The Path toward a March premiere.

Entertainment Weekly debuted our first official photos of the new drama, following a March premiere announcement and a bare-bones first teaser. The actors kept reasonably tight-lipped, but Paul offered “I was very nervous simply because I was a part of what I consider to be the best. This is different, but it has that same excitement. When I read scripts I cannot wait to turn the page.” Added Monaghan, “It sounds weird to say about this show, but it’s felt kind of blessed.”

Premiering March 30, created by writer-executive producer Jessica Goldberg, with Parenthood alum Katims and Michelle Lee also producing, Hulu’s The Path follows a family at the center of a controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power, each episode taking an in-depth look at the choice between “the life we live and the life we want.”

Paul will take the role of Eddie Lane, convert to the controversial movement with a wayward past of his own, while Dancy will play Cal Roberts, charismatic face of “The Path.” Roberts is also “entangled in a complicated relationship” with Eddie and his wife, Sarah (Monaghan), battling personal demons and bold ambition as he strives to take the organization into its next generation.
