Director Roland Emmerich and the stars of the upcoming Independence Day sequel are currently participating in a livestream Q&A, which you can watch in the YouTube player above. One of the details recently revealed: Independence Day 2 is officially called Independence Day: Resurgence, and you can expect a lot more fighter pilot action, apparently.

Emmerich is joined by original stars Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Sela Ward, Brent Spiner and Judd Hirsch, along with new stars Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe and Angelababy.

According to the Q&A, Monroe’s Patricia Whitmore has a pretty badass role — the former president’s daughter is something of a secret service agent, and we’ll get to see her kick some butt alongside Hemsworth, Usher and Angelababy. The sequel occurs in real time, 20 years after Independence Day. Goldblum revealed that the government recovered alien technology from the battle in the first film, which it is now using to build an impressive defense program. Nations from all around the world have put aside their squabbles to join forces to protect the planet, and on top of that, we have a woman president.

Emmerich is best known for his epic disaster films, but at least the director is very forward-thinking. The cast is diverse, the world is at peace (for now) and the United States has a woman in charge. Excellent.

We’re sure to hear more details throughout the Q&A, which you can continue to watch above.

Independence Day: Resurgence hits theaters on June 24, 2016.
