Amy Schumer’s career has more than taken off in the time since developing her own sketch show for Comedy Central, leading many to expect the already-ordered Season 5 might represent the last. Schumer then surprised fans with an extended hiatus before the final season, but the comedian now seems uncertain of any potential Season 5.

Back in August, Schumer distanced herself from former Inside writer Kurt Metzger by asserting that “we aren’t making the show anymore,” to which the Trainwreck star subsequently clarified that “We are slated for a season 5 but not in the foreseeable future.” Touring and other endeavors understandably put a fifth season on the back burner, but when asked by Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, Schumer declined to answer even a possibility (Via EW):

“On a scale of 1-10, what is the actual likelihood of a fifth and final season of the show?” Cohen asked. Schumer responded: “I’m going to take number five on the scale… plead the fifth!”

The fourth season wrapped up in June, though Schumer herself was at least nominated for an Emmy at the most recent awards. Season 4 often made light of Schumer’s career outgrowing cable, a thought bolstered by her ever-growing stream of movie projects.

It doesn’t seem as if Schumer will offer further clarification anytime soon, but might Inside Amy Schumer Season 5 be a lost cause?
