We're a little more than a month away before Christopher Nolan's sci-fi film, 'Interstellar,' hits theaters, and it's still somewhat of a mystery. The director of 'Inception' sure has the whole "keeping cards close to the vest" thing down pat. With a few trailers and posters now in the airwaves, however, a batch of new 'Interstellar' photos debuted to give us a bit more insight into what is surely one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year.

While we know the basic premise, the immense cast of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Wes Bentley and Casey Affleck sets up two storylines. As the new 'Interstellar' photos depict, there are the astronauts who are enlisted to explore the furthest reaches of space in order to save humanity, and then there are those left behind on Earth, trying to maintain their living conditions amid dwindling resources.

We're still coming off of the high of Alfonzo Cuaron's 'Gravity' from last year, and early buzz for Nolan's space film is already pegging this as a possible awards contender. As McConaughey himself said at Comic-Con, “[Nolan's] a man whose reach constantly exceeds his grasp."

The 'Interstellar' photos premiered in the latest issue of Empire magazine, though you can check out all six of them below, in addition to the beautiful cover image. The film is set to hit theaters on November 7.
