If you’re itching to see Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic Interstellar on the extra-large screen one last time before Sunday night’s Academy Award telecast, Paramount is giving you that chance. The studio is re-releasing the film in select AMC IMAX theaters this weekend, for one day only, with 12 minutes of additional behind the scenes footage. And if that’s not enough to get you interested, AMC and Paramount are running a buy one, get one free deal on tickets — with a catch.

According to Paramount’s press release, “An Encore of Interstellar: The IMAX Experience” will arrive in select AMC IMAX theaters on Saturday, February 21, at 3 PM local time. The screenings will be held for one day only, and will have “more than 12 minutes of never-before-seen exclusive behind-the-scenes content.” If you’re a huge fan of Nolan’s sci-fi flick, this should be a rather attractive prospect.

But if you need an additional reason to attend, AMC and Paramount are offering one free ticket to the IMAX screenings for those fans who purchase their ticket at the box office instead of online. If you’re not interested in that freebie, tickets are on sale online right now, and you can check out a list of participating theaters at the official site.

Paramount is running this special one-day “experience” to promote the film for this Sunday’s Oscars, where Interstellar has been nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Visual Effects, Best Original Score, and — curiously — Best Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.

Nolan’s film will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on March 31, but if you can’t wait that long and have a burning desire to experience Interstellar in IMAX again (or for the first time), now’s your chance.
