Few genres are as ripe for parody as sports dramas, and the upcoming 'Intramural' looks like it'll fit the bill quite nicely. The trailer for the small sports comedy made its way online, and if the rest of the film is as weird and funny as these two-and-a-half minutes, it could be something to keep an eye on.

Starring 'SNL' alum like Kate McKinndon, Jay Pharoah and Beck Bennett, and a bunch of other lesser-known but equally funny folks, 'Intramural' takes on every sports movie cliche, twisting and turning the common tropes into something truly weird and strange. The trailer had our curiosity when it started devoting precious seconds to sampling running-on-the-beach montages, but it had our attention when characters began firing guns at each other in the name of preparing for flag football.

Here's the official synopsis:

'Intramural' is a hilarious send-up of inspirational sports movies replete with epic training montages, over the top motivational speeches and bone crunching tackles, 'Intramural' tells an epic tale of a group of 5th year seniors who form an intramural football team in their final year of college before being forced out into the real world. 'Intramural' is the GLORIOUS love child of cult classics such as 'Wet Hot American Summer' and 'Dodgeball.'

'Intramural' will premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. It looks like the kind of movie that'll get scooped up and put on every possible VOD outlet soon after that, so keep your eyes open.
