Being the son of Will Smith has its perks, like getting to tour the White House with President Obama, or summoning Alfonso Ribeiro to do "The Carlton" dance whenever you want. We're sure that second part is totally true and not at all some weird 'Fresh Prince' fantasy we have.

But the first part is true, and Jaden Smith -- young actor and son of Will -- had the chance to talk to Obama, so he asked him about the existence of aliens, obviously.

When your father is the star of 'Independence Day' and 'Men in Black,' your childhood probably involved a lot of alien talk. As is the case with Jaden, who couldn't resist the temptation to ask our President about the existence of aliens during a White House tour.

Will Smith elaborated during an interview with BBC Radio:

Jaden had said to me, 'Dad, I gotta ask the president about the aliens,' and I was like, 'Dude, no, no, it's not cool. No, it's not cool, it's embarrassing. ... Do not ask the president!' ... "So we get into the Situation Room and Jaden gets the look in his eyes and he leans over and he says, ‘Dad, what’s my punishment?’ … And Barack is talking about this Situation Room and Jaden says, ‘Excuse me, Mr. President?’ Barack said, ‘Don’t tell me.’ And in perfect form — like this is why he is the president — he stopped and looked at Jaden and said, ‘The aliens, right? … OK, I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of extraterrestrials but I can tell you if there had been a top secret meeting and if there would have had to have been a discussion about it, it would have taken place in this room.'

That's kind of awesome!

Look, if aliens do exist and they are coming to Earth, President Obama better tell Will Smith because there is only one proper way to greet invading aliens and that's with a patented Will Smith, "WELCOME TO EARF." Anything else wouldn't be dignified.
