During the past few years we've been getting used to watching Jake Gyllenhaal play the nice guy - the mainly kind-hearted hero who fights for the greater good. Let us not forget that aside from 'October Sky', Gyllenhaal first impressed audiences with his complex and dark role in the cult favorite 'Donnie Darko'. Now we get to see him stretch out those acting chops once again with the The Shoes' latest music video, 'Time To Dance'.

The greatest part about the music video, which you'll be able to check out below, is that it works as a short film. We see a mentally tormented man relieve his frustrations in one of the strangest hobbies you can think of, killing others. One of the most intriguing parts of the music video is his occasional killing garb which is slightly reminiscent of Michael Myers' 'Halloween' outfit.

Jake Gyllenhaal was recently seen in Duncan Jones' clever science fiction film 'Source Code' and is expected to be on the big screen in the crime drama 'End of Watch', scheduled for release on September 28, 2012.

Watch the new music video below and let us know what you think of Gyllenhaal's latest role.
