Jennifer Aniston Engaged!

After years of tabloid drama and a handful of relationships that failed to flourish under the bright and punishing tabloid spotlight that comes with being famous, Jennifer Aniston is finally ready to tie the knot.

The lucky man? Actor/writer Justin Theroux, who she has been dating since May 2011. His rep told People Magazine:

"Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage."

Theroux, whose acting credits include 'Your Highness,' 'Six Feet Under' and 'Parks and Recreation,' appeared in 'Wanderlust' earlier this year with his bride-to-be. Offscreen, he is responsible for writing 'Tropic Thunder,' 'Iron Man 2' and this year's 'Rock of Ages.' You couldn't find a more different guy than Brad Pitt (who Aniston divorced in 2005), but that's probably the point.

Aniston is currently filming 'We're the Millers' with co-stars Ed Helms and Jason Sudeikis. Theroux is attached to write the long-in-the-works 'Zoolander 2.' Her move is scheduled for 2013. His is for 2014. The date of their marriage, since it's not a Hollywood project, remains under tight wraps.
