Jennifer Lawrence has just won Best Supporting Actress for 'American Hustle' at the 2014 Golden Globes awards, announced Sunday, January 12, during the live ceremony hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.'

"I don't know why I'm shacking," Lawrence remarked during her acceptance speech, surprised by the recognition. "Don't ever do this again!"

The actress went up against Lupita Nyong'o ('12 Years a Slave'), Sally Hawkins ('Blue Jasmine'), Julia Roberts ('August: Osage County') and June Squibb ('Nebraska') in the category this year, the expected winner to be Nyong'o, who literally made a name for herself with her breakout role.

'American Hustle' starred Lawrence, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner in a story loosely based on the real-life ABSCAM scandal, which saw the FBI forcing two con people to infiltrate the world of New Jersey power brokers and mafia. Lawrence -- who took one last year's Golden Globe for Best Actress, Drama for Russell's 'Silver Linings Playbook' and the Oscar for it, as well -- played Bale's hilarious wife, who threatened to expose everything.
