We're all about Hitchcock today it seems, as the latest casting news from Deadline Hollywood is that Jessica Biel has signed on for 'Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho.' She joins Scarlett Johansson (as Janet Leigh), Anthony Hopkins (as Alfred Hitchcock) and Helen Mirren (as Alfred's wife Alma).

This definitely sounds slightly hotter than the original, as Miles and Leigh - and we're not knocking them in the slightest - don't give off that bombshell quality one gets from either Biel or Johansson. Perhaps that speaks to the talent pool director Sacha Gervasi (best known for the documentary 'Anvil!: The Story of Anvil') has to chose from...or he just likes hot chicks.

As Hitchcockologists know, Alfred and Vera Miles had a complicated relationship as she was cast as the female lead in 'Vertigo,'but had to back out because she got pregnant, and that caused a huge rift in their working relationship.  'Psycho' was their last movie together and Miles never achieved any great stardom, even if film fans know her from 'Psycho' and 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.'

Gervasi will have to deal with some of this, which will be interesting in that one of the few original cast members still alive is Vera Miles. As Hitchcock was known as something of a pervert with his leading ladies (there is a lot of gossip about what he made some starlets do, but like all gossip is worth less than his body of work), I'm curious to see how far or how prude they go with Hitchcock's gaze.
