Hollywood favorite funny man Jonah Hill's Hollywood stock is continuing to rise. The 'Moneyball' Oscar-nominated actor, who is starring in the upcoming comedy 'The Watch' alongside Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, has now signed on to star in the new Martin Scorsese film 'The Wolf of Wall Street.'

Hill will be joining Scorsese favorite Leonardo DiCaprio in the adaptation of the popular Jordan Belfort memoir. According to Deadline, the movie is about "Belfort’s dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life, which included drug and alcohol addiction. Hill will play his close friend, who becomes Belfort’s business partner when the charismatic stock broker persuades him to quit his job in the furniture business to jump into the lucrative, volatile world of stocks."

Hill will play the close friend of Belfort.

It's a great move for the star who is starting to branch out from raunchy comedies into more dramatic work, although we're pretty sure he's going to have some laughs in this new movie. No word on when shooting will begin. Hill is also expected to do a sequel to the popular comedy hit '21 Jump Street.'
