Josh Brolin and Sean Penn have been working together often recently. Both appeared in 2008's 'Milk' and will be in next year's 'Gangster Squad.' Now it appears the duo will work together again, though with Penn directing Brolin in his adaptation of 'Crazy for the Storm.'

This comes from Variety, who don't say much about the movie, only that filming is scheduled to begin at the start of 2013. Brolin would play the father of the main character Norman Ollestad, who was the sole survivor of a plane crash. The film is based on Ollestad's memoirs, and his father was one of the people who died in the crash, which means that either Brolin's part is small, or there will be numerous flashbacks. Or perhaps he'll pull a Obi-Wan and hang out as a specter. Variety also notes that Penn will likely not have a role in the film.

The last couple years have been good to Brolin, who had a knock out year in 2007. He five great performances in a wide range of films (including 'No Country for Old Men,' 'American Gangster,' and 'Planet Terror'). The next year he was nominated for an Oscar for his work in 'Milk.' This year he appeared in 'Men in Black 3,' and is currently about to shoot 'Oldboy' with Spike Lee.
