Well, if 2008’s Jumper had one constant, it’s the appearance of being everywhere at once. So it is, that after YouTube ordered a sequel series of sorts, another Jumper series based on the film has entered development, potentially returning star Jamie Bell to his role.

According to Deadline, Bell and Doctor Who vet Julian Simpson are developing a TV reboot of the film for Studio Canal, New Regency and Lionsgate, with the potential for Bell to reprise his role as fellow “jumper” Griffin O’Connor. The new project is distinct from the YouTube Red series Impulse, based on the third novel in Steven Gould’s Jumper series, and directed by film helmer Doug Liman.

Chronicling the existence of teleporting “Jumpers” and the “Paladins” that hunt them, the 2008 film featured a cast of Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Rachel Bilson, Diane Lane, Michael Rooker, Kristen Stewart and more. It also ended up grossing around $222.2M worldwide, but never got around to a sequel.

You can check out the original trailer below, and stay tuned for more details on both the new Jumper and the YouTube Red Impulse arriving next year.
