There are a lot of random properties that are being turned into possible movie franchises nowadays, but you don't want mess with 'Jurassic Park' unless you can get it right. Yes, we all know that both sequels are uneven, but maybe these two new writers will finally get us interested in the possibility of a 'Jurassic Park 4.'

In enters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, the two writers who penned 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes.' They conjured up some form of magic to make that script, as 'Rise' was one of the biggest and best surprises last summer. No one thought the prequel would amount to much of anything, but it was the electric shock the 'Apes' franchise needed to move forward.

So Universal Pictures - a company that's been struggling to make a summer tent pole hit for the past couple of years - is willing to bet their chips on these two. Deadline reports that they just hired Jaffa and Silver to pen the latest draft of 'Jurassic Park 4,' which the studio has been working on for over a decade. Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy will be producing the film, but nobody's been hired to direct as of this moment. If Jaffa and Silver can have lighting strike twice with 'JP 4,' then we're in for a treat a couple of summers from now. Here's hoping.
