“Probably not a good idea,” Chris Pratt’s Owen says about the creation of hybrid dinosaur Indominus Rex. But let’s get real, here, for a minute: this entire park is built on bad ideas and filled with even more bad ideas in the form of massive dinosaurs. Sure, some of them are friendly, but the real attraction is in the danger — and that danger is going to lead to a whole lot of carnage.

Jurassic World has debuted an extended spot, retreading some previously seen footage, like the Mosasaurus performing for crowds Sea World-style (timely commentary) and the Indominus Rex cameo at the end, smashing through the gyrosphere in a callback to the T-Rex’s attack on the Jeep in Jurassic Park.

What remains the most interesting — and royally silly, but hopefully in a good way — component of the new installment in the franchise is Pratt’s velociraptor wrangling. Then again, if anyone has enough charisma to stave off terrifyingly vicious raptors, it’s probably Chris Pratt.

Jurassic World also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Judy Greer, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Vincent D’Onofrio and B.D. Wong, and arrives in theaters on June 12.
