As we've been previewing for months, tonight will see the first all-new 'Justified' of 2013 with season 4 premiere "Hole in the Wall," kicking off a season shrouded in mystery and filled with all-new characters. But for as many new angles as each season of 'Justified' adds, what of the core opposition between Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins)? Find out what 'Justified' season 4 has in store for TV's most gun-slinging rivalry inside!

Will 'Justified' season 4 finally see either Boyd Crowder of Raylan Givens putting bullets into one another? That question may be a ways off according to 'Justified' show-runner Graham Yost, who reveals in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, that the series' two morally opposing leads won't even have cause to interact until the fifth episode of the new season, which kicks off with tonight's "Hole in the Wall."

Instead, Raylan will largely find himself chasing a new mystery tied to a decades-old case along with his own father Arlo (Raymond J. Barry), as well as undertaking a few less-than-savory side-jobs to earn money for his impending child. Says Yost of Raylan's season 4 path:

He’s sort of afraid that Winona might not grant him visitation if he’s living above a bar, so maybe he should grow up a little bit and get a real place. But of course, the only way he can think of to make extra money is to do things that are not allowed by the Marshals service, like tracking down an out-of-state bail jumper. One of the interesting things about Kentucky is there are no bounty hunters allowed. So, into that vacuum Raylan steps in the first episode to get a guy — and without giving it away, there will be a ripple effect from that later on in the season.

And while Raylan also deals with complications with his new lady Lindsey (Jenn Lyon), Boyd will have issues of his own coming up against a new snake-handling church that attracts worshipers away from his Oxy trade, a church fronted by the charming Preacher Billy (Joe Mazzello) and his sister Cassie (Lindsay Pulsipher). One of Boyd's own will soon find themselves under the thrall of said church, leading to a tense confrontation between Boyd and Harlan's new holy man.

Don't worry about 'Justified's supporting cast either, as Art (Nick Searcy), Rachel (Erica Tazel) and Tim (Jacob Pitts) will get several expanded stories of their own, given the occasional short-changing in earlier seasons. And who couldn't use more Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns)? "We love Jere. We love that character, so Wynn Duffy plays a big part in this season,” says Yost. "There’s a lot of conflict [with Boyd] but in the fifth episode, you see that they have to work together.”
