'American Idol' season one winner Kelly Clarkson is set to join, you guessed it, another singing show.  But this one's different! At least a little...

ABC's 'Duets' will see Clarkson, along with Lionel Richie, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke travel the country in search of talent to not only mentor, but perform alongside, according to Deadline.  After selecting two partners each, the stars will perform with their proteges in front of a live audience, each week. The amateur half of the winning pair will get a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

While the idea isn't exactly groundbreaking, the fact that Clarkson, herself, came to fame through a similar avenue makes her an interesting and apt choice for 'Duets.'  As Deadline also noted, for those of you who just can't get enough of no-names butchering the Whitney/Mariah/Celine songbook, the CW will also be offering up Queen Latifah's 'Star Next Door,' featuring Gloria Estefan and John Rich. Prepare yourself for one very "pitchy" summer.
