The fans have spoken! The polls for ScreenCrush’s 2nd Annual Fan Choice Awards are officially closed, and when it comes to the Best Superhero Movie of 2013 ... it's not 'Man of Steel' or 'Iron Man 3,' surprisingly. No, movie fans instead voted 'Kick-Ass 2' ahead of DC and Marvel's live-action outings.

The nominees for the 2nd Annual Fan Choice Awards were curated by ScreenCrush’s trusty editors, and the winners were chosen by movie and TV fans in a lengthy voting period that began on January 6 and finished February 11. Fans were allowed to vote up to once per hour per category.

'Kick-Ass 2' stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse in the sequel to the bloody 'Kick-Ass.' The cast is joined by the likes of Jim Carrey and Donald Faison in a story that featured two costumed vigilante groups, one heroic one villainous, going head to head. Funny enough, Johnson will become an official Marvel hero when he portrays the speedster Quicksilver in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' in 2015.

Thanks to everyone who voted in ScreenCrush’s 2nd Annual Fan Choice Awards! Check out the full list of nominees for Best Superhero Movie of 2013 below.
