What’s That Song in the ‘Kick-Ass 2′ Trailer?

Kick Ass 2 trailer song
Universal Pictures

Have you seen the new ‘Kick-Ass 2′ trailer yet? It is, to use a cliche, very kick ass. Part of that is seeing Chloe Moretz return as Hit Girl, part of it is seeing Jim Carrey‘s new superhero and part of it is the music in the background. But what is the song in the ‘Kick-Ass 2′ trailer? Let’s find out!

The first song played during the opening of the trailer is “Infinity Guitars” by Sleigh Bells. Even if you don’t know the band, you may remember them from ‘SNL’ or the use of their song “Kids” in the ‘Pain and Gain’ trailer. Sleigh Bells is made up of Derek Miller and Alexis Krause and their 2010 album “Treats” was listed as one of the Best Albums of 2010 by Pitchfork.

The next song, which plays during the reveal of the ‘Kick-Ass 2′ villain we’ll call “The Motherf—er” is “War” by London-based dubstepper Caspa with vocals by Prodigy lead singer Keith Flint. Even though he’s only been around for about 5 or 6 years, Caspa has over 25 releases and his work was included on the ‘Halo 4′ soundtrack.

Both of the songs in the ‘Kick-Ass 2′ trailer can be heard in full below for your listening pleasure. We’ve also included the actual ‘Kick-Ass 2′ trailer itself just so you can watch one more time.
