A brand-spankin'-new trailer/music video for Killer is Dead has been released, and is set to melt your faces. Why? Because it stars a band called Jesse and the Bonez, who tear it up while gameplay footage rolls.

The video is approximately five minutes long and is part music video, part gameplay trailer. Footage from the game plays throughout the band's stage performance, and sets the tone for Mondo Zappa's adventures in swordplay and killin' dudes.

As expected from a Grasshopper Manufacture game, the visuals are slick, colorful and oh-so stylish. While this trailer offers nothing new, it's a welcome look at the over-the-top action we'll see in Killer is Dead when it drops this summer.

Watch the video above and let us know your thoughts on the band, the video and the game in general. Watch out for Killer is Dead when it's released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Aug. 27.
