Here is the first trailer for Kindergarten Cop 2, which is a real movie and absolutely, 100 percent not an elaborate prank on you, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger or some suit sitting in a Hollywood office. This is an actual movie that has been made, and the trailer allows you the opportunity to gaze into the abyss to see if it also gazes into you…or if it is a tumor after all.

Lundgren takes on the Schwarzenegger role in this sequel, which arrives, oh, about 26 years too late. It makes sense, in a way, as Lundgren and Schwarzenegger are both action stars of the Euro persuasion, and both have starred in their fair share of silly movies and wacky sequels. For whatever reason, many people combined their efforts to make this happen, but it’s unclear just who this sequel might benefit — those who fondly or nostalgically recall Kindergarten Cop probably won’t care for it, while those unfamiliar with the original will find themselves confused by the “2” in the title.

Anyway, the first trailer debuted at Entertainment Weekly, which describes the film as follows:

The 58-year-old actor plays an FBI agent assigned to hunt down sensitive stolen data. While undercover as a kindergarten teacher, the gruff, old-school Agent Reed finds himself at odds with the school’s liberal, politically correct environment.

The sequel was directed by Don Michael Paul, known for gems such as Jarhead 2: Field of Fire and Tremors 5: Bloodlines. Kindergarten Cop 2 hits DVD and VOD on May 17, 2016 (you didn’t think they were actually putting this thing in theaters, did you?).
