We’re closer than ever to Stephen Colbert’s Late Show debut on September 8, and while George Clooney’s guest appearance gave a marquee head start, the full guest list for Colbert’s full week offers a much clearer view of the new series. Everyone from Jeb Bush to Elon Musk and Amy Schumer will fill out the ranks, with musical guests on deck as well.

Colbert seems to be living up to his pledge from earlier promos, assuring that his Late Show would focus more one intriguing public figures than celebrities. Clooney aside, the full first week of guests run the gamut from Scarlett Johansson to Stephen King, and even the controversial Uber’s CEO Travis Kalanick:

Tuesday, September 8 - Actor George Clooney; Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush;  musical performance by Jon Batiste and Stay Human with special guests (n)

Wednesday, September 9 - Actress Scarlett Johansson; SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk; interview with and musical performance by Kendrick Lamar (n)

Thursday, September 10 - Uber CEO Travis Kalanick; musical performance by Toby Keith (n)

Friday, September 11 - Comedian Amy Schumer; author Stephen King; interview with and musical performance by Troubled Waters (n)

All in all, it’s a positive message to send that Colbert won’t limit himself to celebrity guests, keeping some of the more insightful interviews in line with The Colbert Report. We’re ready to meet the real Stephen Colbert, and plenty of familiar faces should help with the transition. Until September 8!
