Saddened though we were to learn that Megalyn E.k. couldn’t join Legends of Tomorrow fulltime, the new Vixen seems nicely to be filling out the role. See for yourself, as Star Wars star Maisie Richardson-Sellers suits up as the DC hero in a new Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 photo!

The CW released the official first look at Richardson-Seller in character as Mari McCabe’s grandmother Amaya Jiwe, who utilizes the same mysterious powers of the Tantu Totem that afford her to access the abilities of animals. Megalyn E.K.’s schedule prevented her from reprising the role, though she’ll still provide the voice for her animated CW Seed counterpart’s second run.

Elsewhere of Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, we know Matthew MacCaull will play the original Commander Steel, grandfather to Nick Zano’s Dr. Nate Heywood, along with Power Rangers star Sarah Grey as Stargirl. Patrick J. Adams will also likely appear as Hourman, following his arrival in the first Legends of Tomorrow finale, while Arrow star Stephen Amell will pop up in the October 13 premiere as Mayor Queen.

This year will also see the Legends team going up against a Legion of Doom of sorts, comprised of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Captain Cold (Leonard Snart), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher).

We’ll surely hear more of Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 soon, but in the meantime, watch the first trailer below.
