Yesterday you got to see some photos of the 'Les Miserables' cast so you know how they look as your favorite characters, but what do Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe sound like when they're singing your favorite 'Les Mis' songs? The 'Les Miserables' trailer is here and you can find out.

In fairness you only get to hear Anne Hathaway in this new trailer, singing the classic "I Dreamed a Dream."  And?  Well, we're not theater critics but she actually sounds pretty good for what it's supposed to be.

It's very much a tease and presented very much as something for fans of the original musical. If you're not (and we're hardly 'Les Mis' experts here) you may be a little lost but you do get to see Anne Hathaway's head shaved if that means anything to you.

You can expect a later trailer to expand on the plot a little more but Universal describes the film thusly:

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption—a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.

The film hits theaters this Christmas but you can watch the first 'Les Miserables' trailer below (and in theaters this Friday with 'Snow White and the Huntsman').  What do you think? Does everyone have the right look? And can Anne Hathaway hit the right notes?
