Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 Trailer: Less Than Two Weeks to Save the World

Saving the world can be a real drag, eh? But when you're someone like Lightning, it's kind of your job. The newest trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 shows us the clock is ticking, and our heroine only has 13 days to save the world. No pressure. 

As you can see from the trailer, Lightning doesn't look too worried when it comes to stopping the destruction of the world. After all, she's dealt with this kind of thing before. And it looks like she'll definitely be doing it in style, if all those costume changes in the trailer are any indication.

This trailer recently debuted at San Diego Comic Con and is sure to wow any fans of the series. Some recent news on the PlayStation Blog has also revealed that Lightning will have access to even more alternate outfits, like one that's fashioned after the dresses worn by the Miqo'te characters from the upcoming massively-multiplayer online role-playing game, Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn.

With regard to new game mechanics, you'll be able to use a counter attack system that lets you negate enemy attacks and deliver your own blows if you counter at just the right time. This can be a bit of a gamble though, since countering uses up a hefty bit of the ATB gauge and can only be used against physical attacks.
