Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 Trailer: Lightning Strikes Down a Release Date

The third act in the Final Fantasy 13 saga is almost upon us, as Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13's release date has finally been announced. Accompanying this announcement is a nifty new trailer of the game running on PlayStation 3. What can we expect from Lightning's latest adventure?

According to the PlayStation Blog, you'll take control of the pink-haired Lightning as she tries to save as many people as she can in the game. You see, Gran Pulse is about to sink into the sea, and Lightning will have 13 days to work her magic to keep people alive.

You'll run into familiar faces, like Snow Villiers, and see how much has changed since the last installment of the Final Fantasy 13 saga.

Players will also be able to explore the land of Yusnaan, which is full of bright lights, big cities, and endless entertainment. We're hoping it's like The Golden Saucer times a thousand.

Watch out for the game when it drops on February 11, 2014 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
