Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury's 'Livid', their long-awaited follow-up to their cult classic 'Inside' premiered at last year's Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas to an incredibly divisive crowd. Some loved it. Many hated it. But before the film has even hit theaters here, the film is already slated to get an English language remake.

According to Deadline, French distribution company SND Films is financing the remake, with writer David Birke ('Gacy,' 'Dahmer') on board to translate the story. SND Films also handled Pascal Laugier's 'The Tall Man,' the French filmmaker's highly-anticipated follow-up to 'Martyrs.'

'Livid' tells the story of a young, in-home caretaker who discovers the comatose elderly woman she's caring for may have treasure hiding in her spacious estate. When she returns in the middle of the night with some friends to ransack the place, they discover that the old woman may not be comatose after all.

It's not an American remake, but it's still too soon to be giving 'Livid' the English makeover, considering it hasn't been released in the UK or the US yet, thus the awareness needed to bank on a remake is nil.
