Wanna see the early concept trailer that Rian Johnson used to pitch the studio on 'Looper'? And are you curious about the films that inspired the look of the 'Looper' universe? If you answered "obviously" to either of these questions, you are totally good enough to keep reading.

Director Rian Johnson has been posting some cool stuff over on his Tumblr blog. First was the in-theater commentary track he created just for fans -- a one of a kind track that won't be anything like the commentary that'll eventually wind up on the home video release.

And now he's given us something else pretty interesting: an early concept trailer for 'Looper.' These concepts, as Johnson explains, are pretty common when a director is trying to convince a studio to help them get their project off the ground. Storyboards only do so much, but moving visuals and aesthetics -- even when borrowed from other films -- can be pieced together to give execs and idea of the kind of film they might be putting their money and effort into selling.

In the concept trailer below, Joseph Gordon-Levitt provides an early version of the monologue he would deliver in the official trailers for the completed film, and Johnson borrows visuals from films like David Fincher's 'Se7en,' Ridley Scott's 'Blade Runner,' and Luc Besson's 'Leon.'
